10 Advantages of Having a Car and Driving Licence

From your personal life to your career, having a driving licence and car could be of huge benefit. Here are 10 reasons why you may want to find driving schools in your town or city.

1. Do you live with your parents? If so, you may want to take your test and get a car to gain a bit of independence for the first time.

2. Do you have small children? Taking them to school may be a stressful experience without a car. By getting your licence, the process will be much easier and less time-consuming.

3. Do you have older children? As kids grow up, they want to spend more and more time out with friends. While this is normal, being able to collect them wherever they are will provide you with a great deal of peace of mind.

4. Is your life dictated by a bus or train timetable? The convenience of being able to go wherever you want at the times you want to go there is not to be overlooked.

5. How well do you know the country you live in? Without a car, exploring the great many sights and experiences the UK has to offer becomes a lot more difficult.

6. Do you have to use taxis or public transport when grocery shopping? Not only is it inconvenient, it can also be a difficult and expensive process. Having your own car could make a world of difference to you.

7. Are your career prospects limited by not having a licence? Many jobs require you to be able to drive, so you could expand on your opportunities with a licence.

8. Are you only able to work where the trains or buses travel to? By having your own car, you will be able to work anywhere that's within a sensible driving distance.

9. Do you have a partner who doesn't live with you? If so, it can be difficult getting to see them as often as you'd like without a car.

10. Do you have elderly or sick relatives who require care and attention? By having a car, you'll be able to visit them more often and run any errands they need doing.

We can learn a lot from the scout's motto of "Be Prepared." Being prepared can help us get out of life's toughest situations. In school, you knew that if you studied in advance, you would have no problem when test day rolled around. Now we know that in order to avoid traffic and get to work on time, we have to leave early. Sometimes preparation doesn't have to be that extensive. On the other hand, when it comes to things like winter driving, it's a good idea to take the time to make sure you have some essentials in your car at all times. These essentials make up your winter car care emergency kit.

If you feel like you don't have the time to make a winter car emergency kit, you can hop online and buy one. Basic kits will cost you about $18 or so, and a more extensive kit could cost you about $200. But you can make your own emergency kit with items that you already have around the house.

You should include these items in your winter emergency kit:
Bag of abrasive material (sand, salt, cat litter) or traction matsSnow shovelSnow brushFlashlight with extra batteriesWindow washer solventIce scraperCloth or roll of paper towelsJumper cablesGloves, hats and blanketsWarning devices (flares or triangles)Drinking waterNon-perishable snacks (energy or granola bars)Extra clothesFirst-aid kitBasic toolkit (screwdrivers, pliers, adjustable wrench)Mobile phone and car charger with important numbers programmed in it, including a roadside assistance provider

A winter car care emergency kit won't help if you haven't taken the time to prepare your vehicle for the elements. Before winter hits, have your mechanic inspect and winterize your vehicle. If you don't have a regular mechanic, many shops will offer specials for a reasonable price. Or even better, if you know someone who is good with cars, they might be able to check things out for you. Bottom line, be prepared and you won't have to worry should something go wrong.

Kris Carlson is an employee at YourKeylessRemote.com, a leading keyless remote provider. Your Keyless Remote also sells replacement car keys, key fobs and keyless entry remote accessories. The company is located outside of Chicago and offers a keyless remote selection that covers a variety of foreign and domestic models.

Warning Signs of Drunk Driving

Four of the scariest words to hear after a night out of fun with your friends are, "I'm fine to drive." It's no secret how dangerous and risky driving while intoxicated can be, but thousands of drunk individuals still try to drive themselves home every day, putting themselves and every other driver on the road at risk of serious injury or death.

Drunk drivers have a delayed reaction time while driving and are more likely to drive at fast speeds and be unaware of pedestrians, red lights, stop signs, or traffic laws in general. Statistics say that one person will die in a drunk driving accident every 50 minutes, and 70 percent of alcohol-impaired driving fatalities happen with a driver whose blood alcohol level is.15 or higher - almost twice the legal limit.

Warning Signs of a Drunk Driver

Drunk driving is still a prevalent problem in the United States despite the increased awareness and number of campaigns against driving under the influence. The majority of fatalities are the people hit by drunk drivers. However, there are some drunk driver warnings signs for other motorists to look out for:

Swerving or drifting in and out of lanesExcessive brakingDriving without headlightsFailure to signal turns or lane changesRunning red lights or stop signs

If you see any of this erratic behavior while on the road, you should always stay as far away from the car as possible in order to avoid a potential accident. Instead of approaching the vehicle, call 9-1-1 and report the driver giving a good description of the vehicle and the license plate number.

If you or a loved one has been involved in an accident because of a drunk driver, visit the website of the Milwaukee car accident lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C.

Two Classic Aston Martins

Aston Martin is the most well known and perhaps greatest ever British luxury sports car manufacturer. The company is perhaps most well known for having several of their sports cars featured in many James Bond movies over the years, helping to raise the awareness and coolness factor of the company's cars. The company is quite old and was actually founded in 1913, making it older even than Ferrari. Over the years the company has survived WWI, WWII, and a brief acquisition by the Ford Motor Company. We have take a look at a couple of the most classic cars this British automaker has produced.

The first car we included on our list is the Aston Martin DB5 model. We chose this model because it was the first ever car to be a James Bond car and has been featured featured in several other James Bond films since then. The DB5 was produced between 1963 and 1965 and reached a total production number of 983. There were three different body styles the car could be purchased in: 2 door 2+2 coupe, 2-door convertible, and 2-door shooting brake.

The next car on our list is the Aston Martin DB1, the very first car in the popular DB model series. The car wasn't initially called the DB1, but was instead called the Aston Martin 2-Liter Sports, a slightly less attractive name. This is one of the rarest Aston Martin cars ever produced as there were only 15 units sold. The DB1 was only available as a 2-seat roadster and was produced between 1948 and 1950. The last three units sold were actually special ordered while the DB2 was being produced because the customer wanted a soft top car and the DB2 was only available with a hard top.
